. KAMUI. troubled, powerful, almost reckless youth destined to save the world at the cost of many lives, even those one's most important to him.

. FUUMA. Kamui's best friend turn worst enemy and mirror image. (figuratively) He can switch wildly from sweet and kind to violent hell raiser in an instant.

Explain : Oh boy where do I begin ...?

POINT 1
I can't even count how many times Fuuma grabs or touches Kamui in some suggestive manner. They are almost always close enough to kiss, and usually look as if they will. I can't count how often they are unnecessarily close to each other. Fuuma even go so far as to lick blood off Kamui's neck on one occasion.

POINT 2
In the beginning of the series, Kamui is very cold and stoic to even his oldest and closest friends; Fuuma and Kotori. He's not kind to ANYone, and never shows any weakness or vulnerability. However, this changes when he's around Fuuma. Kamui's hard, scowling mask cracks; revealing an occasionally scared and lonely young man that needs a friend just like anyone else. Despite Kamui pushing him away earlier, Fuuma is that friend, and is more than willing to be a shoulder to lean on, or in this case a chest. ^^ Fuuma vows to always protect Kamui no matter what.

POINT 3
One of the main conflicts in the show is the idea of 'having to kill the one dearest to your heart' or 'being killed by the person who is most important to you.' Hence why soon after Kamui and Fuuma's reunion fate intervenes, and Fuuma becomes Kamui's "sueboshi" or Gemini. The one fated to fight him to the death to either destroy earth or save it.

POINT 4
Once Fuuma becomes the Gemini, he changes drastically. Before all his contact with Kamui was gentle, loving, and kind. More like caresses than anything. But as the 'sueboshi,' he is violent and cruel. Yet no less yaoi. It's strange that even as Kamui's enemy, Fuuma or Kamui 2 still seeks so much physical contact with him.
EX 1: Fuuma would brush his fingers over Kamui's cheek gently, then suddenly blast him into a wall.
EX 2: Fuuma ties Kamui up, stabs him, then licks blood from him, or tell him what a great voice he has as Kamui screams in pain.

POINT 5
What is truly questionable is that despite Fuuma's propensity for violence in the past, Kamui does not do everything he can to stop him. In each and every scene they are in together, Fuuma makes some strange advance on him, touches or grabs him in a yaoi-ish manner, and Kamui allows it every time. Even though he knows in the next few seconds he will be blasted into a wall or gate. Yet he does little more than take a sharp intake of breath, lean into the caress, then ask 'why?' every time. Here's an example!

POINT 6
Continuing on the trend of point 5, later in the series, Fuuma had seriously hurt, or killed several of Kamui's friends. Finally after Subaru is hurt, Kamui strikes back in rage. But he misses, probably on purpose. Fuuma pulls Kamui's arm out of his shoulder and places his bloodied hand in his chest.
Fuuma: Your aim should be here.
Kamui: Fu..uma...
Fuuma: If you aim here, I will die.
Kamui: Fuuma..how...why!?
Fuuma: Why? *sighs* That was your only chance Kamui!!!
His only chance and he blew it. He couldn't bring himself to seriously hurt his friend, (maybe more)

POINT 7
One thing that always stuck out was they way they say each other's names. Whenever Kamui says Fuuma's name, it's always a breathy whisper,, and oftentimesit sounds like a low moan. He tends to drag out the uu in 'Fuuma.'

POINT 8
The manga apparently has ever more yaoi than the TV show. CLAMP managed to sneak in some more yaoi during the scene where Yuzuriha and Fuuma / Kamui 2 kind of face off. She's clearly on the loosing end when (in the manga) Kamui comes to her rescue! With Yaoi-ish results. It's odd how CLAMP mixes eroticism w/ gruesome violence.
